Due to a nationwide network issue, some users may not receive SMS messages containing codes for DUO. Voice and Push notifications are unaffected. Users are encouraged to utilize one of these methods in place of SMS.

Affected cellular providers report that they have resolved the issue with their networks and SMS and voice service have been restored. Users who use SMS or Voice for Duo authentication should now receive these calls and messages.

Networks are reporting an improvement in service and that most service has been restored. Maricopa IT staff are continuing to monitor the situation.

Maricopa ITS is continuing to monitor this ongoing service outage affecting multiple cellular service providers. Duo push notifications through the app are still working as expected if the device has access to a wi-fi connection and is the current recommended workaround for this issue.
