DUO Duo SMS/Phone Alerts

Duo is investigating issues where SMS/Phone Call authentications are not working when using Duo multi-factor authentication.

Any customers experiencing this issue should connect to a wi-fi network and switch to the recommended way of authenticating with Duo: using the Duo Mobile App. The app is free to install and only takes a few minutes to switch.

The instructions on switching from phone/SMS to the Duo Mobile App can be found here.

Thank you for your patience while the vendor works to restore this service. An update will be sent as more information becomes available.

  • Duo reports that all issued have been resolved and the service has been restored.

  • Duo technical teams have resolved some of the issues and we are currently seeing successful Duo authentications again via SMS or phone calls. Account enrollments and other features may still be experiencing issues.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will continue to provide updates.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

  • Duo technical teams have identified the issue and are working on deploying a fix.

Due to these issues, customers cannot currently utilize the self-service portal to manage their Duo devices.

It is recommended that affected employees and students reach out to their respective helpdesks to have the Duo Mobile App set up on their account.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
